Artist Kodankandath created a series of Khadi Canvas paintings for World Without Wars, an international humanist organization. Which was used in one of their major peace movements.
The paintings were created for a worldwide march against war in 2010, The march started from Australia and ended at Argentina and during its journey the peace march pass through more than 112 countries. Three of the paintings from the series were carried around 112 nations and erected in Argentina, as their final destination.
This is the first time Artist Kodankandath decided to paint on a Khadi canvas made using the techniques Artist Kodankandath himself had come up with. Khadi is of significant importance to the peace movement due to its history with one of the icons of non-violence movements, Mahatma Gandhi. Khadi is a sustainable, hand woven cotton textile directly derived from nature.
