Category Description

Artist Kodankandath started 'The God' series paintings in the year 1995.  Artist painted Lord Jesus series, Last Supper Series, Station of Cross painting series, Lord Krishna series, Lord Siva series, Lord Natraja series and Lord Ganesh series.

The artist painted Gods series in his painting style, similar to the European stained glass work that mixed with the traditional Indian style of Mural Painting. Artist refers to these paintings of Gods in his painting style as 'East Meets West'.

Artist Kodankandath is a true believer of God the Creator and consider that being a creative performing artist his role is to connect the human spirit with God’s spirit. The God series painting started with this indention of creating such a spiritual atmosphere that helps to increase viewers faith. Artist not only focused his own faith but gave equal importance and respect to all other religions. Often, Artist works are designed to have a special effect on the viewers and are devotionals and designed to make the viewer think deeply.

Artist used oil paints, acrylic paints, natural colours and mixed media concepts to portrait the paintings on paper board, canvas, acrylic board, bamboo canvas and khadi canvas.
