The Punnamada Lake Nehru Trophy Boat Race is amongst the premier snake boat races that happening across Kerala. The Boat races are held during August and September period on every year and attracts massive crowd from across the world. In these tournaments nearly 100 ft long Snake boats, 40 to 50 feet Country boats and small rafts compete against each other in their categories. It is one of the six art forms perform during the Onam festival.
