St Mother Teresa received the Nobel Peace Prize for her humanitarian work, and the following year the Indian Government conferred awarded India's highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna.
Kodankandath created a series of 18 paintings in Mother Series that started n 1994.
‘The Mother 1’ titled painting was presented to St Mother Teresa herself, depicting the activities of the holy mother through three simple blue lines of her attire that can be easily recognized.
‘The Mother 2‘ titled painting, from the series, was selected by ‘The Week’ Magazine in the year 2003.
